Economy
I know this doesn't apply to every business who is hurting right now, but let's be honest about it...
It's a great time to be a CEO / Owner for most massive companies traded in the stock exchanges: I don't know what will ultimately happen, but this is what I would do: 1) take all the government (taxpayer) money you can get at low or zero interest (may not even have to pay it back!) 2) lay off as many workers as possisble while still being operational 3) investors will automatically dump all of your company stock when they see the layoffs 4) USE ALL of the taxpayer low/zero interest money above to buy up most of your dumped company stock at 70-90% liquidation 5) when this is over YOU control the company and get nearly ALL of the new profit moving forward.
Taxpayers get $1,200 "whoopie", the real winners are the guys in suits who KNOW this is GOING to happen. Some of them will do things to MAKE it happen longer.
The truth is NO business is ever "too large to fail". If they do, new, smarter and more effecient businesses will come back to the market with a better consumer product. It is a scary thought, but bailing everyone out DOES NOT WORK. The taxpayer is the one who loses EVERY time!
